Please help me support Philadelphia Outward Bound School by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Philadelphia Outward Bound School's great cause!
Hello Everyone!
I'm incredibly excited to be a part of the legendary Building Adventure fundraiser organized by Philadelphia Outward Bound School (POBS) this year! On October 20, 2023, I'll be rappelling 30 stories down Two Commerce Square in Center City, Philadelphia. And I'm reaching out to ask for your support for this fantastic cause.
For those who know me well, you're aware that I have a deep-seated love for the environment and sustainability. Participating in this event isn't just another adventure for me; it's an extension of my personal and professional mission to make the world a better place. POBS's focus on environmental stewardship resonates deeply with me. Teaching young people about the beauty and fragility of our planet is the first step towards creating a more sustainable future for all.
Beyond environmental causes, POBS's outdoor education programs offer so much more. They build character, foster emotional intelligence, and instill resilience and grit in our youth. As someone who once led groups of young women on their first spelunking trips in college, I can tell you firsthand that the sense of accomplishment and pride these experiences offer extends well beyond outdoor skills. The transformation I witnessed in these young women was incredibly rewarding for me. Seeing them overcome fears and challenges gave them a newfound confidence that will serve them in all areas of life.
I'm sure many of you can recall a moment when you achieved something you initially thought was impossible. Imagine helping a young person discover that same sense of self-belief, resilience, and leadership. That's what your support will do.
I have a fundraising goal of $1,750 to secure my rappel spot. And every dollar counts! Your contribution directly supports transformative outdoor education programs that serve more than 60 Philadelphia public and charter schools.
Thank you for your support!
