As we all look for return to “normal” and to be back outside, I wanted to make you aware of an event that is taking place at 20th and Market on October 22nd that I will be participating in. I will rappel down 315 feet from the 29th floor of Brandywine Realty Trust’s Commerce Square to raise money for the Philadelphia Outward Bound School. I am asking for your support as I go "Over the Edge" to support POBS programs for Philadelphia area kids. I was able to do this event with my daughter Riley in 2019 but will be going solo this year.

A few facts of what we support
Number of students projected to be served in 2021: 5,000
Number of schools and nonprofit partners whose students POBS serves on day programs and expeditions: 90+ (ranging from the School District of Philadelphia (our largest partner) to the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation)
Number of merit scholarship summer expedition courses: 3 (Get Outside and Lead (GOAL) for middle-schoolers; Philadelphia Youth Leadership Corps (PHL high-schoolers); New Jersey Youth Leadership Corps (NJ high-schoolers)
Number of community members we expect to host for free program at the Discovery Center in 2022: 1,200
% of students coming from families that qualify as "low-income": 75%
% of POBS budget covered by donations and grants: 50%
