Join the Philadelphia Outward Bound School (POBS) on October 22nd for its peer-to-peer fundraiser – Building Adventure – a high-adrenaline rappel from the 29th floor of Brandywine Realty Trust’s Commerce Square. Rappel 315 feet down an iconic Philadelphia skyscraper and be part of a community of fearless supporters that go “over the edge” for Outward Bound.
Each rappel participant must raise $1,750 in order to secure a spot in this event. Your support helps fund outdoor education programs for more than 100 public and charter schools in Philadelphia and across the region.
No experience needed. Physical and technical training not necessary.
Thanks to the generous support of our donors and sponsors, thousands of students will experience Outward Bound’s world-renowned experiential education programs in 2021. POBS underwrites the cost of participation for 75% of our school and nonprofit partners. While we serve youth and adults from all walks of life, we primarily work with students and educators from public, charter, and independent schools across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Northern Delaware. In 2019, 83% of our program’s 8,000 participants came from low-income households in the Philadelphia region.
